Yoga Bag Review

Endeavor Work to Workout Gym Duffel/Backpack

My favorite yoga travel backpack that I cant rave enough about!

Hello all! So this is an unpaid advertisement for the bag that I use for my yoga travels (to all my yoga studios). There are so many yoga bags out there that have all this hype but this bag has not shown up in any of the websites that I have found with bag reviews. To be honest its appalling because this bag is quite amazing! I have used this bag for a year now and it is still going strong with no tears or rips or anything broken. In the last year I have taught anywhere from 2-10 classes a week in 3 different studios. Not to mention classes I took and didn’t teach and in my travels (my bag goes everywhere with me. So let’s get into it.

It holds everything!

Perfect for work to yoga studio.

The bag I am raving about is a backpack/duffel hybrid from High Sierra. Yes a hybrid! It can be used as a backpack or as a duffel with the strap included. There are these wonderful flaps on the backside that hold the backpack straps in place when being used as a duffel bag. Not gonna lie I was almost sold on the bag just for that feature alone. Is it a backpack? is it a duffel bag? Yes! The answer is yes. Whats even more awesome is that the two main compartments zip different directions. One zips up like a backpack and the other zips up like a duffel bag. You look like a dang magician getting into this thing. The bag itself is called the Endeaver Work to Workout gym Duffel/Backpack.

Backpack and Duffel bag

How cool is it that this bag can easily transition between backpack and duffel bag?!

Ok, enough about the hybrid part. Let’s get into the backpack zipped compartment. This zippered pocket is tall and narrow. It has a cushioned sleeve for a laptop or tablet as well as an attached smaller sleeve that can be used for a tablet as well. So if your super techie and have both tablet and laptop there is a sleeve for both! There is a large zippered pocket, 6 open pockets, 2 pencil pockets, and room enough in the center for notepads, books, or a planner. In this area I carry my laptop, 2 books, a journal, my planner, pens, chargers, essential oil roller bottle, mala necklace, square credit card reader, flyers, and business cards.

Now the duffel section. It is a pretty large compartment with 2 zippered mesh pockets. Seems simple enough. But in this section I found out can hold 2 yoga blocks, a yoga strap, a towel, a speaker, spray bottle, incense, deodorant, all with room to spare. Basically all of the yoga essentials will fit into this compartment.

The front of the bag has a zippered pocket, a water bottle pocket, and a special pocket that, if you didn’t know about, is hidden. The hidden pocket when unzipped has an adjustable strap inside of it. This strap is perfect for your yoga mat! The bag also includes a separate wet/dry bag which is great for those hot yoga trips!

I know most of the items I mentioned are more for the traveling yoga instructor and not necessarily the standard yoga student but it would work great for the working yoga student. Go straight from work to the yoga studio with everything you need. So in summary, my bag includes: laptop, 2 books, planner, laptop charger, cellphone charger, journal, a pen, a pencil, credit card reader, flyers, business cards, roller bottle, mala necklace, flyers, business cards, 2 yoga blocks, yoga strap, towel, spray bottle, Bose speaker, incense, lighter, incense holder, deodorant, duffel strap, wet/dry bag, water bottle, yoga mat, chapstick, cellphone, and my keys.

Now I know I have been talking up this bag and how great it is but there are only a couple of complaints i think i would have. The first one is the water bottle holder. It’s location is not ideal if I am going to be honest. With my yoga blocks in the front duffel compartment my water bottle really has to be forced into its pocket. Usually what I do is grab the water bottle pocket and shake the bag a big to move the yoga block down a big and then wiggle and shove my water bottle into the pocket. It ends up being a bit snug. The second complaint would be that there is no cellphone charging port. Being that this is a work/gym style bag you would think a port to charge your cellphone from a portable battery pack would be ideal. Then of course my last complaint would be that the pocket designated for your cellphone is all the way at the front of the bag. The zipper located on the front above the water bottle holder is super soft and perfect for a cellphone. Problem is when using the bag as a backpack its too far away to easily grab. It would be great if they included a pocket on the straps. Easy to grab and protect when using the bag as a backpack.

So to wrap it up, if you have been searching for that perfect work to yoga studio bag that looks professional and holds everything, this is the bag you need. It’s versatile, it’s durable, it holds everything you need plus things I’m sure you could probably have left at home! This bag is not on amazon I’ve looked so don’t try. It’s available straight from the High Sierra website. High Sierra, if your reading this, know you have one very happy customer and this blog post is to give a solid review straight from a customer’s mouth…fingers technically.
