Simply Earth February Recipe Box

Hey all! Sorry this one is coming in late as I didn’t get my box until late so I got a late start. That being said I changed my delivery days so my February and March boxes were back-to-back, which means my posts will do the same. The theme for Februarys box was Soap and the recipes were: Bold Roll-On, Swirled Heart Soap, Love in the Air Diffuser Blend, Love Cleansing Shave Soap, Love Massage Oil, and Cleansing Sugar Scrub Bar. This box came with Love Essential Oil Blend, Fennel Essential Oil, Ginger Essential Oil, Cardamom essential Oil, a heart shaped silicon mold, Shea Butter Melt & Pour Soap, and Fuchsia Mica Powder. I also added a bottle of Almond Oil as I was running low and a bottle of Digest Essential Oil Blend (you get a 10% discount when you attached them to your subscription box as an add-on.

Here are some infographics for you that breakdown each essential oils uses and benefits for you to apply that knowledge to each of these recipes.

Bold Essential Oil Blend

Let’s work on the first recipe, Bold Roll-On. As all the roll-ons are, the recipe is super easy to throw together as your just putting essential oils and an oil base in a roll-on bottle. This recipe calls for Love Essential Oil Blend, Cardamon, Ginger, fractioned coconut oil, and a roll-on bottle. This definitely has a strong earthy smell to it with a little citrusy smell. It’s definitely understandable why they call this Bold as its strong and enticing. This oil blend is supposed to give you a boost of courage when you wear it. With the love blend uplifting and centering, cardamom’s cleansing aroma, and ginger promoting that digestive and stomach wellness to keep you tummy from tumbling in those high anxiety situations.

Swirled Heart Soap

Next up is the soap bar. The ingredients for this guy includes the fuchsia mica powder, melt and pour soap, fennel essential oil, cardamom essential oil, ginger essential oil, love essential oil blend, soap mold, rubbing alcohol, and a spray bottle with rubbing alcohol in it. Whats nice about their recipe is that the soap is already made for you, its just a matter of transferring it into a fun mold and adding color. For this one your melting down the soap, splitting it in half, adding the alcohol mixed with some mica powder to half of the soap, and pouring both mixes into the mold. I have yet to use this soap but it smells glorious!

Love in the Air Diffuser Blend

Diffuser blends are my favorite because there is no heating, just transferring oils into another bottle, easy peasy. This blend is perfect for those romantic nights with you and your partner. Its a blend of Love Essential Oil Blend, Fennel Essential Oil, Ginger Essential Oil, and Cardamom Essential Oil.

Love Cleansing Shave Soap

This one came out really well and I love it! It has a wonderful texture and leaves your skin feeling cleansed and hydrated after a shave. This recipe calls for melt and pour soap base, water, Love Essential Oil Blend, a hand mixer, and a container. This recipe had a bit more involved with it but it was still fairly easy to make. The finished product ends up being a dense foam that smells fresh and flowery.

Love Massage Oil

Another super simple recipe, my favorite kind of recipe! The massage oil simply includes Love Essential Oil Blend, Almond Oil, and a bottle. You simply add ingredients to the bottle and mix it up. I ended up using this oil on my partners thighs after his run and he ended up feeling a lot better. It smelled a little too flowery for him but overall words very well!

Cleansing Sugar Scrub Bar

I struggled a bit with this recipe finding the right combination to keep the bar together without crumbling. The recipe called for melt and pour soap, almond oil, Cardamom Essential Oil, Ginger Essential Oil, Fennel Essential Oil, Love Essential oil, a soap mold, and granulated sugar. After you melt the soap you mix everything together and press it into the soap mold. The problem is mine turned out all crumbly so I ended up just putting it into a jar instead. I did end up using this right before I shaved, it works in perfect combination with the shave soap.
