Simply Earth®

So your probably thinking at this point that I am pretty wishy washy given that just a few short weeks ago I just joined Young Living and now I’m supporting Simply Earth. Well your not wrong, I have a tendency of jumping the gun on a few things just to get my foot in the door. Was not expecting to find another company I liked so quickly. In all honesty I was super iffy about joining Young Living to begin with. First of all their an MLM which is instantly a turn off, secondly their a bit pricey and not very personable.

I was introduced to Simply Earth by my massage therapist who was also a previous supporter of Young Living. She is a learn before you leap type of individual who puts a lot of effort into knowing everything she can about something before she gives it her support. She supported Young Living for 4 years before finding a trustworthy business to switch to. What caught my attention is the fact that they try hard to ensure their customers are properly educated in essential oils and how to use them.

So why Simply Earth? What makes them stand out over other businesses? Honestly it’s several things: quality, trustworthiness, price, education, cause. I could go on. Their mission is to create toxic free homes and to educate their customers on essential oils and their proper uses. What this means is that they take extra care in the harvesting and creating of their essential oils to ensure quality and they do not add in fillers to cut cost. By not adding in the fillers they are ensuring that their product is 100% natural and non-toxic. But this also means that they are extremely potent. Which is why there is a major focus on education and making sure customers know how to use and handle essential oils so that they do not hurt themselves or others.

Simply Earth is also not an MLM and cuts out a lot of the middle-man work that causes prices to rise. They harvest their products from all over the world but bottle them locally (locally to them). There is even a map on their website of where each product is harvested from. To add to their already awesomeness they even ensure to support the local communities of each of their harvested plants. How amazing is that? They do have affiliates that they give some kickback to (like myself now) but there is no MLM associated with it. Its just individuals providing advertisement and support of their favorite company and getting a little extra cash money for it.

One thing I have noticed since joining is that there are faces to go with the brand. Its not just logos and products but real people doing everyday things. The owners faces are everywhere and not picture perfect posed but their natural selves doing what they love. Their smiling with their hair pulled back and not a face full of makeup. Their real and personable and easy to associate with which is a huge plus for me.

Than of course they support an amazing movement, fighting to end human sex trafficking and supporting the victims and survivors. They give 13% of their profits to support this movement and even have 9 different organizations that they have partnered with. Being a mom of two daughters I am definitely highly supportive of this movement!

Ok so lets talk about the education aspect of Simply Earth. Katie, the face of Simply Earth, is a certified aromatherapist that imbues her knowledge into her customers. She provides an entire training course with a starter supply kit, a plethora of knowledge sprinkled throughout her website, and provides recipes on her blog and within her monthly subscription box. Instead of just making and selling products on her website she supplies the ingredients and the recipes. This allows for learning and hands on experience in making your own unique products. In a world where everything is made and provided for us this is extremely important for growth!

December Recipe Box

My first purchase through Simply Earth was their subscription box called the Monthly Recipe Box. Included in the monthly subscription is a membership to the Essential Oil Hero Course (their essential oil education training course). Each month you are provided with essential oils, ingredients, supplies, and recipes on how to use everything.

The December box included 4 full bottles (15ml) of essential oils (Balsam Fir, Bumps and Boo-Boo’s, Lime, and Geranium), a bag of beaded beeswax, a 12 fl oz container of cold pressed coconut oil, a 4 oz bottle of Fractionated coconut oil, a 4 oz bottle of Almond oil, a 2 oz bag of citric acid, a .05 oz bag of blue Mica Powder, a bath bomb mold, a spray bottle, 6 empty essential oil bottles, 6 roller bottles, sticker labels, and 6 recipes. The recipes are for bath bombs, roll-on’s, a shower spray, a shower melt, and a diffuser blend.

Everything included in my December box.

From my box I have only made a couple of the recipes. I made a shower spray, a few shower melts, and a couple bottles of the Bumps and Boo-Boos roll-on’s. Eventually I’ll make the bath bombs for the kiddos but neither of them are fan’s of the scents provided in this box.

Christmas Morning Shower Melts

Shower melts are aromatherapy diffusers for your shower. Unlike bath bombs, shower melts are more solid and take a little longer to completely dissolve. Since this recipe only calls for coconut oil and essential oils it melts away gradually giving you a fresh aroma for your shower and a nice hydrator for your feet. Luckily I already had some silicone snowflake molds at home so my melts go along with the theme!

Breathe of Pine Shower Spray

Shower sprays are another way of diffusing oils into your shower. This method is a bit different, instead of dissolving a solid to release the aroma, you simply spray the aroma directly on to your shower walls. This coats the walls in the oils so when the steam from your warm shower hits it, the aroma is released into the shower. The shower spray is another super easy recipe that takes only water, essential oils, and a spray bottle.

Bumps & Boo-Boo’s Roll-on

This was a recipe that I gathered from their website. They did not include the recipe in the kit and I wanted to use this oil so I did a little search and found one on their websites blog. The recipe is simply called the Bumps & Boo-boo’s Roll-on and all it calls for is a carrier oil and the Bumps & Boo-boos essential oil blend.

I put the link down below again for you.
